PAROCHIAL CHURCH COUNCIL (PCC)

The Parochial Church Council (PCC) is a separate and legal entity. It is a charity with the objective of making provision for public worship. Members of each PCC are trustees of the charity.

The PCCs in Alveley and Quatt (St Mary's and St Andrew's), have responsibility for a whole range of things such as:

  • the care, maintenance and insurance of the church and churchyard
  • the conduct of the financial affairs of the parish
  • rights regarding women priests and church appointments
  • functions in relation to church services

The PCCs work in co-operation with the Rector in promoting the whole mission of our churches. They also give consideration and discussion to matters concerning the Church of England, or any other matters of religious or public interest.

Both PCCs publish an annual report which is available upon request. Anybody wishing to put forward an agenda item for discussion, can contact us for further advice.
