WEDDINGS.

BAPTISMS.

Congratulations! We hope that your wedding planning is a happy and enjoyable time. If you are considering getting married in one of our churches, please read the following information carefully.

To get married in one of our parish churches you need to have a ‘qualifying connection’. A qualifying connection means that you have a link to the Alveley or Quatt parish in one of the following ways:

  • You’ve lived in the Alveley or Quatt parish at some point in your life, for at least six months
  • You've been baptised (christened) in St Mary’s or St Andrew’s
  • You were prepared for confirmation in St Mary’s or St Andrew’s
  • One of your parents (since you were born) has lived in the Alveley or Quatt parish for at least six months, or has regularly attended St Mary’s or St Andrew’s for at least six months
  • One of your parents or grandparents was married in St Mary's or St Andrew's.

If none of the above applies to you, then you may want to start attending St Mary’s or St Andrew’s church for at least six months to qualify.  You can also find further information on the Church of England's wedding website.

Baptisms (Christenings) are normally held outside of normal Sunday services – usually Sunday afternoons.
